Songs

During the past year, as Kate and I’s travels have come to a screeching halt, I’ve found myself returning to songwriting as a way to reflect on and make sense of the world around me. On this page, I’ll be posting songs that I’ve written, some of which date from my time in college and others which I’ve finished in the past year, along with a link (click on the title of the song below the picture) to me singing the song to help give you a sense of its rhythm and feeling. At the moment, musical accompaniment remains a work in progress, though I hope to add at least some basic guitar strums to each song in the future. My hope in sharing these, just like our travel blogs and Kate’s poetry, is to inspire others to never stop seeking out the different around them and trying understand it as best they’re able.
